I started making Mary earrings about 10 years ago after bringing home some tiny Miraculous medals from Italy. As a Catholic, I love the Blessed Mother and am constantly asking her for guidance in my motherhood and marriage. I wear one of my earring pairs almost every day and love knowing she is near. Whenever I go to fidget with my jewelry, I'm reminded of her grace and wisdom. Since then, I have sold my earrings to ladies across the country! After lots of encouragement and nudging, here I am! Opening an official shop! At Nova Eva I’m excited to bring you lots of my old favorites and new ones that I can’t stop reaching for every morning when getting ready. Along with the earrings, I’m expanding to other Marian/Catholic showstoppers – earrings, prints, hats, and other décor.
In my family, we can’t keep our favorites to ourselves. Find shoes you love? Give everyone three different colors of those shoes. Have a favorite new top? Share that too. Find an amazing deal somewhere? Shout if from the rooftops! So, when I’m busting my buttons about the Blessed Mother and my favorite everyday-wearing jewelry, you had better believe I’ll be spreading that love around too! Thank you for visiting, please let me know if you have any questions, and I can’t wait to share these items with you.

What does “Nova Eva” mean?
Nova Eva is a devotional name for the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, and is one of the most ancient doctrinal titles of Our Lady…the doctrine of Mary’s necessary participation in the redemption of humanity as the New Eve. The Eve of the Old Testament is tempted by the serpent and disobeys God. Eve became for mankind a cause of death, and it is through her that death came into the world. It is Mary’s obedience to God that makes up for the disobedience of Eve. In the mystery of the Annunciation, the Virgin Mary takes the role of the New Eve.

MARY, THE NEW EVE, FREELY OBEYED GOD
Pope John Paul II
General Audience, September 18, 1996
God puts the destiny of all mankind in a young woman's hands. Mary's "yes" is the premise for fulfilling the plan which God in his love had prepared for the world's salvation.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church briefly and effectively summarizes the decisive value for all humanity of Mary's free consent to the divine plan of salvation. "The Virgin Mary 'cooperated through free faith and obedience in human salvation'. She uttered her yes 'in the name of all human nature'. By her obedience she became the New Eve, mother of the living" (n. 511).
By her conduct, Mary reminds each of us of our serious responsibility to accept God's plan for our lives. In total obedience to the saving will of God expressed in the angel's words, she becomes a model for those whom the Lord proclaims blessed, because they "hear the word of God and keep it" (Lk 11:28).
